Miles away from your choice of area, but Red Bank Farm at Bolton le Sands would be great for a longer stay. On a working farm on the shore of Morecambe Bay, petting farm on site. Sandy beaches in Morecambe not far away, Happy Mount Park for swings and slides etc.

Westmill Farm is not far from Essex, and does have swimming (I haven't stayed, but saw it when doing parkrun).

It's located at the top of a cliff and is a short (but fairly steep) walk to a beautiful beach.
