I now travel alone with my 2 dogs. I would like to stay on sites which have an element of doggy daycare, this would allow me time to get some shopping without leaving them in the car. Leaving them in the caravan is a no no. I would love to go with my family to Chester Zoo but the people who would normally look after them are the same family I wish to go with.
So, does anyone know of sites which provide this facility? There is money to be made should someone care to think about adding this facility to their site.

I’ve stayed at many sites but none have had on-site doggy day care. (Can’t say that I fancy hearing the continuous barking which is typical of our dog’s kennels.) Several sites have mentioned local kennels on posters, for example if you’re going out to a restaurant for a meal, but I’ve only found that out when I’ve got to the site.
I think you’ll need to contact the sites for their recommendation of a nearby kennels. There’ll be one, for sure.
And hopefully someone will know a site that has what you’re looking for.
Back in the days when we had a dog, there was just one occasion when we wanted to visit York and explore. We managed to find a local kennels that would accept her for the day. Not to badly priced as she did not need feeding, because we took her there mid morning and collected late afternoon.
So, yes, that idea can work and you can relax knowing your dog is safe.
When we go shopping we leave the dog in the caravan and make sure she has plenty of water and food. Cooler in the caravan than in a hot car. The longest we would be away is about an hour. However if you have dogs that bark constantly whee you are not around, then I guess you have an issue.
Never heard of any site offering dog day care as they probably would not be very popular.

As an example, if you're a member, there's a Caravan Club site at Thurstaston on Wirral and doggy daycare at Moreton, not far away. This sort of arrangement might be suitable if you want to visit Chester Zoo. Drop the dogs off on the way and pick up on way back.
