Hi Just looking for a campsite for motorhome that is convenient for Wembley, and a concert finishing around 10.30 on a Sunday night.... We are Ulez compliant.

Any ideas would be welcome. Many thanks

Welcome to UKCS - have you tried the Site Search on here? Just tick the facilities that you need. (Not an area I know, so I can't suggest anywhere.)

Welcome.

LOL, think you need to define 'convenient'!

Wembley is a place I know very well, and there are no campsites particularly near, Wembley is definitely part of the urban sprawl of London that goes all the way out to M25 and NOT camping friendly!

Firstly, Wembley venues are officially 'Public Transport' venues, so very little parking these days, and draconian local parking regulations with resident/local business only permits required on event days for all street parking. Some pre-booked event related multistory car parks, but you'd have to check if MH would be allowed, AND usually eye wateringly expensive! Some of the pop-up event private car parks which may not be MH friendly are another option! Other option is the private driveway parking offered by some, but beware a MH may be a challenge to fit on a driveway AND many of the local residential roads to access a driveway (I can't bring my caravan home from storage yard for that reason!)! Google would be your friend in finding parking. You'd need to check Google Street View to judge how good access is with a MH for any parking options. I can highly recommend you do NOT drive inside the M25 in rush hour times (6.30-9.30am, 3.00-8.00pm) your progress will typically be at walking pace!

Public transport from site is probably best, but problem with any campsite near(ish) to Wembley is that inevitably the trains take you into London, then you need to come back out again to Wembley on a different train, probably close to a 2 hour journey each way time you've walked to and from stations.

UKC search shows you campsites in the region: https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/calcdist.asp?address=&motorhomes=on&bar=&shop=&........

TFL (Transport For London) route planner will give you public transport options: https://tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/. TFL have had rather a lot of disruptions to service of late, strikes, staff shortages (= cancellations), engineering failures (= yet more cancellations!) etc., so best keep a close eye on what's actually available on the day!

Hope that's of some help. ..... sadly all rather pessimistic, but then some of us live with the cr*p day in day out!!!!!

If it were me I would leave the Motorhome at home, use public transport, and pay about £60 for a room at a well known hotel chain within walking distance of your concert.

We stayed the the Crystal Palace Caravan Club site when we went to Wembley, caught the bus back that stopped almost outside the site.

NO Motorhomes! Only small campervans.

The UKC description is erroneous/out of date. Quote from site website:

"Camping .... Small campervans such as traditional VW size are permitted - larger than this, motorhomes and caravans are not permitted on our site."

Maybe https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=4429 Wyatts Cove?

I don't know the site, but it looks as though it might be good for Denham (Chiltern Line trains to Wembley Stadium) or Uxbridge (Metropolitan Line). I would definitely check the train times from Denham though as they may not be frequent.

Hope you find something!

We went to a concert at Wembley last year. Our advantage was that we use car/caravan, so we stopped at C&CC Walton on Thames site for a few nights. For the concert, I booked a parking spot through Justpark in Uxbridge and went by tube. We were amazed how easy it was.
