David it has already been pointed out that Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland give bus passes out at 60. You are confusing the UK with England.

I agree it’s not equal. (Our tax rates in Scotland are higher though: win some, lose some.)
I got my Scottish bus pass at 60, but my State Pension started at 66 (& it’s going up again soon). So I don’t think there’s a direct connection.

Quite so, apologies. However if you change the UK for England what I said is still perfectly valid. Its having a bus pass which is the starting point regardless of age of qualification, and that age of qualification can be different but it makes no difference as you still have to have a bus pass?
