We love Deer’s Mead, adult only site, not too big, excellent showers.
Close to be able to go around north Norfolk, Cromer, Sherringham, wells, Holt. Check out the reviews on here
Another vote for Dear's Mead, we have been going there for years now.
A lovely well kept quiet adults only site.
The inky blackness at night and the stunning night sky is something to behold.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Camping and Caravan Club site at Sandringham is one of our favorites. We did look at Deers Mead, but if I remember right it was way too expensive for us. Sounded nice though. We never go away at the end of July though so I don't know what the prices are like then.

Some while ago, but we were abruptly turned away from CCC Sandringham (some local event we didn’t know about, so the site was full). Stayed at the nearby The Rickels Caravan & Camping Site, a small site & it suited us just fine. I see it’s still getting excellent reviews. (I had to use the site search on here to remember its name, it’s such a useful tool!)
Sites take the mick now with EHU. Over the past couple of years when energy prices when through the roof it understandable for sites to put prices up but now they are coming down thier prices will stay the same. Crazy site fees at present and I'm guessing it will stay the same because it's a good money earner. Let's face it if the touring community are prepared to pay the cost the site owners won't reduce thier prices. Shame.

Just looked it up Fiona, a basic 20 pn but 8 for ehu! I bet it didn't cost that when you stayed there.
Just checked my 2015 review and it was Basic fee £ 11, add £ 2 for high season, £ 3 for EHU and £ 1 for the dog - came to £ 17 pn. Adults only, I had forgotten: does not suit everyone.
We are going to a site in Norfolk in middle of May. I've been caravaning for 20 odd years but have never found a better site. A really nice pub site. They've got two 5 van sites. Not sure if they allow tents. We stay on the lower site so we watch the deer in the morning coming around the caravans. After all these years of touring it's the only site we go back to every year. Might be something to with the super real ale they serve. They charge £18.50 a nite including electric. Free showers, toilets and washing machine.

Thank you for the recommendations. We would have gone outside of high season, but we're away already in June, and after school holidays (main summer one) cannot get time off from work. We will certainly be having a look round some of the other recommendations whilst we're down there though!
