Hi :)

I am thinking about going to a site with an electricity tariff which I have never done before. It is charged at 30p kwh.

can anyone estimate what this might cost in reality for 5 nights - lights, hot water, charging phones and 1 laptop maybe watch a bit of tv...fridge...

prepare to be amazed how cheap it works out! you will be lucky to use £5 worth the whole time aslong as you dont use the heating

It's hard to say really, it depends upon the rating of the things you use (wattage) and how long you use them for.

If it helps if you use a 1kW kettle for 1hr you will have used 1kWh

We had 4 nights on site last month paying ehu at 42 per kw.
We ran electric, fridge, computers, charged phones, air fryer cooking, 1kw kettle and a couple of hours heating each evening.
paid a total £9.70 - without heating we reckon probably £5 /£1.25 a night.
