Years ago we were members of the CAMC but only used their club sites. I’d assumed CLs were mostly fields with a tap and Elsa point but am I wrong? Are there many fully serviced options?
------------- From tents to trailer tents to a tin tent to an air tent to trailer tent and back to tin tent!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
You need to read the site descriptions, but they do range from quite high end 'posh' CL fully serviced sites rivalling any pitch you'd find on a major site, to basic tap, drain and Elsan point in a field types.
Agree - just use the site search here & set your criteria. Or a similar filter system on the CAMC website.
We were at a CL in March with 1 toilet, 1 shower (donation), EHU, hard stands, one fresh water tap between every 2 pitches, CPD of course, all for £22pn incl our dog (kept on a lead). No Wi-Fi. On a farm, yes, but 10 mins walk from a bar & a beach. We were not asked for our membership card or number.
CCC has CSs with similar facilities on some sites. Some areas have more CSs than CLs, the opposite elsewhere.
They vary a great deal as said. The one thing that has happened is that they have shot up in price. We have just been to one which was £12 per night not so long ago, now £20. No loos or showers but has ehu, so now a typical price. Sites with extra facilities typically charge £25 or more.

Many former CLs with go ahead owners have now got planning permission and have expanded to 10 or 15 pitches -always with good facilities - and have given up the nonsense of only admitting Club members..That membership restriction suited the Club very nicely - but not the general public.
