Try golden Square near Helmsley.

while we were at the c&cc site near york (sheriff hutton) we went to look at the slingsby site  this was a lovely site. small village. walking distance, nice walks and bike  area. we did wish we were staying there. its very close to castle howard, almost in their grounds.  this was a really nice site with new toilet block the site managers said it was a station and disused railway line.

i dont know if this is the type of site you are looking for but i hope it helps.

 Lovely site at Ripley Harrogate, Riply caravan park  01423 770050 styed there a couple of times nice quiet site large pond in middle of site ducks roaming around really nice, not far from York.

Ditto Golden Square, we went in May and it's lovely.

You could try Rudding Holiday Park outside of Harrogate.

Good facilities ( although quite expensive ) but near to Harrogate and there is a large Sainsburys about a mile and a half away for extras !!
