Could anyone reccommend a good family friendly camp site near Whitby that has more than a bucket to pee in?!

We have just come back from a weekend in whitby. Well it's actually about 8 mile outside whitby but is a good site and allows tents, tourers and statics. It has free shower block and a good pub on site that serves really good food. It is on this site it's called:- Ugthorpe lodge and there is one a few hundred metres away called:- burnt house. Both are really good and it was only £25 for 2 nights including 4 people, car and awning.

Hi

Northcliffe doesn't take tents anymore either!  Stoupe Cross has mixed reviews although never camped there myself.

Watch out for campsites on the cliff tops at Whitby.  We were booked onto Northcliffe once, but when we arrived it was too windy to put the tent up & there were quite a few which had been wrecked during the day.
