I need help... i am planning to go camping at the end of August with a bunch of mates... i thought we could go to Thurstaston, Wirral but looks like they have gone all posh and only take caravans!!! Can anyone else suggest a campsite within 40ish miles of Bolton, which is cheap and chearful and idea for a group of 20 somthings to have a loads of drinks and a laugh ?? Please help.

I came across your post, you're in EXACTLY the same situation as me, its my 23rd this August bank holiday weekend, and i want to get a load of mates together camped out over night, have some beers (possibly round a camp fire) and have a good time... Im not looking for bouncy castles, fishing or cowboys tho!

Obviously we dont want to go anywhere where we'll disturb others too much.  I cant find ANYWHERE, if you have any success please, please let me know of the type of place to look for - its a uni renunion (from 5 weeks ago!) so it doenst matter too much where it is.
