Hi All

Dose anyone know of any nice quiet camp sites near Edinburgh, looking for a nice quiet clean site with Electric-hookup, maybe have a nice little shop just for things we may need, milk and such. We dont have any kids with us, we just need a nice quiet break away together.

Anyone know of anything nice they could recomend.

There are a few sites around Edinburgh but if you’re planning to visit soon you should book a.s.a.p. since we’ll soon be into the festival.

The Drum Mohr site is just east of Musselburgh, their web site is at http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4019

The Mortonhall site is on the southern edge of the city 5 minutes from the bypass.  There is a regular bus service into the city so you can leave your car on site.  Their website is at http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2992

The Caravan Club site is at Silverknowes on the western edge of the city.  It also has a regular bus service into the centre of town.  Their website is http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/UK+Sites+and+Travel/Club+Sites/Search+or+Book+a+Site/Site+Detail.htm?cs_id=EDINBURGH

A bit further to the west is Linwater Caravan Park http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1631You’ll need your car here since the site is not on any bus route.

Thank you also bryfer1 I will have a look for the c&cc sites, can you give me a little bit of advice on how to find them? Im not sure what the c&cc sites are  im kind of new to this

We are all booked up in The Drum Mohr site and looking forward to a nice break away in 12 days time.

Counting the days from now till we   to Drum Mohr     Possibly knowing Scotland it will be  when we get there.
