Just got back from 2nights at Side Farm in Patterdale, had a great time, managed to get the tents pitched right on the edge in the bottom corner so got a stunning view of the lake and helvelyn, which we climbed via striding edge on Saturday.
The campsite was great but extremely busy so as you can expect the facilities soon got dirty but were just as quickly cleaned up again.
The only problem i had was even though we were on a relitively flat bit of the site i kept slipping down the tent which made for an interesting nights sleep.
but all in all a great time was had and the weather was mostly dry.
