Hi there,

As you were all so helpful to the Newbury campers minus car who wanted to go to Windermere I’m hoping you might be able to help me. I’ve bought my boyfriend a tent for his birthday (we are camping virgins) and I want to take him away somewhere for the night that is rather secluded but easily accessible without a car and in the south East somewhere ( we are based in London).

Is it too much to ask?

Please please please help

Thank you so much camp gurus+

Hello Winona and welcome to ukcs, bear in mind it's not just a case of the tent but a fair amount of other gear to carry as well. ie, sleeping bags, cooking equipment, water container plus probably a certain amount of grub. With this in mind I would sugest Hawthorn Farm which is adjoining Martin Mill staion in Kent. Its the next stop down the line past Dover Priory and about 1 1/2 hrs from Charing X. You'll find all the site details in the site listings on ukcs. Can't think of anywhere else so readily acsessible by public tpt in this area but no doubt someone might be along with other options. Good luck......Mick
