Out of curiosity, Whats the most people have paid for a 2.72kg camping gaz? I'm sure my husband has just been ripped off. (£14.50!!!!!!!) Is it me or has it gone up in the last 2 years

Is that the 907 bottle ? If so the RRP is £13.60

All gas has gone up a lot in the last 12 months we are told it is because of the WAR? There has been a lot of surcharges, we are told only temporary!!!

I paid £12 for a 907 yesterday, last year it was £10!!

i use the cheshire gas company for the 13.7 kilo and they only charge about a tenner i get it through work cos we have the 47kg bottles for the heater in the w/shop so we are on a good deal with them

13 squid for a 907 down ere in kent ....wanted to buy another bottle ..couldn`t bellieve our ears when the chap asked for ..nearly 60 squid!!!

You can often pick up spare empty bottles from car boots or council tips, then you only have the cost of the refil.

We just paid £13.50 in Oxfordshire. The bottle itself only cost £4 from a car boot sale.

With regards to camping gaz bottles. I took the advice on this forum and nipped to the local tip and managed to get a 907 bottle for 5 pounds. I had been looking on ebay but they were going for about 20 pounds and obviously needed picking up. Great advice, now got by Camping Gaz cooker and away i go!!

Oh and by the way, I went to Barrons Caravans and got a refil costing 14.99. Thought the North East was supposed to be cheap. Anyway did not mind becuse the bottle was so cheap but will shop around next time.

We got our spare at a camping shop in secondhand corner cost a tenner but was full of gaz

As gas goes sadly the Camping gaz is dearer than the larger calor bottles (but the only one that fits in the Romahome gas compartment)

Same here, was charged £13 last year at the York branch, when I queried the price they said it was due to demand. This year I called in at a campsite I was passing and was charged only £8-50 so someone is raking it in.
