You can buy or make a mains connection kit for your Aquaroll. Basically it consists of a ball valve that keeps  the Aquaroll filled up to a certain level, and a hose and connector to go onto the water tap.

No you don't have to have one, you can fill your water and empty your waste in the time honoured fashion if you wish. If you choose to purchase the kit, it really is a benefit. No water to fetch, your aquaroll fills it's self automatically and you can run your waste hose direct into drain so the only chore you're left with is emptying the loo. Alot of the fully serviced pitches also have a tv hook up to which you can plug in an extension arial  lead and beside receiving the standard 5 channels will have access to selected sattelite channels as well. Good for the kids if weather is bad as there is usually one or more of the cartoon channels. The kit for the water is about £34 and a length of hose for the waste another 3/4 quid. Well worth having even if you don't always use it. Being lazy by nature I love the super pitches, and when you get to my age with twinges of rheumatism you apreciate not having to lug water around..............Mick

If you are on a serviced pitch then you are probably paying £2 or £3 extra for it so it makes sense to make use of it, otherwise you might as well go on a regular pitch.

It actually makes me quite annoyed ( sorry to those to whom it applies! )  to see a van on a serviced pitch not making use of the facilities.  Being slightly disabled I usually use the shower in our van so we always try to get a serviced pitch when they are available to save OH ( who is no spring chicken) having to lug so much water and waste around.

Earlier this year ( late June) we were at Chatsworth CC site for 5 nights.  For the first 2 ( Friday & Saturday) we couldn't get a serviced pitch,( despite booking in January ) but on the Sunday we were able to move onto one.  They have 26 serviced pitches and all were occupied.  On 7 the vans were not connected to either water or waste, on another 7 they were connected to waste only, only 12 were making full use of the facilities
