Can anyone recommend  a site where the teenagers and parents enjoy the facilities?. We still love the camping, but quieter sites now hold nothing for "bored" teenies. And we dont want to go to the Butlin type places, Although I hasten to add we have had some super holidays in the past. Our first few days (end July-rain) were the Hello Mother/Hello Father here we are at Camp Grenada syndrom. 3 teenies wer missing their computers, their mates, and everything else. Horrible phase, which we all probably inflicted on our mums and dads.

Hiya' Geeljay,

Pitty that you don't live a bit nearer the North.  I could give you quite a few good 'Allrounder' sites on or near the Yorkshire coast, .....but obviously a bit far to travel.

Good Luck

Hi,

I have same problem.  two boys, one 16 and one 12.  we live in Scotland and would be grateful for any sites that would keep them happy but that we would feel comfortable having a relaxed time too.

Thanks

eileen

My boys like the Hoburne and Park Resorts sites, no doubt they would like the Haven type too. It helps if we go in a crowd too.

Thats said we went to the New Forestt last weekend and they had a great time as they were able to take their bikes for the first time and the eldest got back into fishing and his own gear has seen the first light of day for 5 years when we got home.!

I know how you feel though, but at the end of the day if they're happy you're happy, and you don't have to use the facilities they might enjoy (but you do have to pay for them!).

OMG, you're only a stones throw from a great lively, something for everyone camp! It's in Cornwall between St. Austell and Mevagissey so you wouldn't even have to be stuck in the car for hundreds of miles! Go to the sites search at the top and type in Pentewan Sands for all details - brill and they certainly won't be bored! It's even got it's own beach which is gr8 for the whole family!

Give it a look Wish we didn't live 320 miles away from it - dagnamit

We are having the same problem 2 girls aged 12 and 15. Having spent time at Clifford Bridge near Okehampton for the past couple of years. (Now sadly taken over by pretend log cabins and no longer taking tourers of any kind). we try and find a campsite with pool , it's great for them to meet other kids during the day, a games room (same reason but in the evening or if weather is grotty) and a 'play area' kids of what ever age seem to congregate in them. So far always managed to hit a happy medium, although am now condsidering how to meet our 15 year Olds request for some 'fit' lads.

You should all try Flamingo land in yorkshire, big theme park, zoo, golf. They love it so much you won't see them. But they only take family's so, does anyone know of a place a group of well behaved 17 + 18year olds can go ??

Beverley park, Painton.  I have just come back from there and would say that there is a fair bit for teenagers to do

Lol at Rix 1965, I have 2 teenage boys (15 & 13) and the preening before they leave the caravan in the evening that goes on, they are obviously on a babe search!! I hope they get their chat up lines right soon cos' they dont seem to be having any luck and resort to fighting to ocupy their time!

On a more posative note. In July we spent 8 days at Hoborne Cotswolds and they just loved it. 2 pools, flume, pedallos and organised activities, (dont forget their footy boots!) Their favourite is White Cross Bay near Windermere, Caravans only though.
