There is a naturist beach at St Osyth Beach, Essex There are plenty of holiday parks around but don't know if they are just for statics.
As for Theddlethorpe, please don't use that area. It is an area of special scientific interst and I was talking to one of the English Nature wardens about 18 months ago in connection with my work and during our conversation he told me they have a lot of trouble with certain groups of individuals who use it for purposes other than just sunbathing nude and they are not welcome.

Theres a nice site at Corton Nr Lowestoft, Suffolk. it's called Azure seas, we have been going there for years, It's not a naturist site but it's 10 minutes walk away from a naturist beach. They are open to caravans, tents and campervans, but I must warn you that since they changed ownership a couple of years ago they are getting a bit pricey especially in kids holidays, with no noticeable improvements to the site.
Interesting - the amount of viewings on this post! brin101 I like it, unfortunatley when I've been on holiday and walked through naturist areas of the beach its not been a pretty site - not many hot ladies under 30! More 50 + people who have come out of the cupboard now there kids dont go with em anymore! (no offence to naturist - let it all hang out)
John, obviously you have not tried it and even more obvious, you're exactly the type not wanted on a naturist beach. And, yes, I take offence. I am also over 50.
Stop it.

Thats where your very wrong - Yes I have tried it - as for type not wanted - there is no law against walking from one end of the beach to the other and if thats through a naturist part then so be it! As for the 50+ comment it was of course a joke - said in jest! I do not come on this site to put people down/ I do have abit of a naughty sense of humour and I'm sorry if thats offended you! I am 36 and no hunky Bradd Pitt - but if someone 18 came of this site and said it wasnt a pretty site it was full a pot bellied men in their 30's then I would of laughed, not got upset! Each to their own I suppose!
I have to say, an area of the beach where we regularly stay in France is for naturists, and I think it is nice that people have the confidence to bear all - it must be nice to have the sun on you and to feel so uninhibited. Frankly though, I can't see how it can have the same appeal on a UK beach, such as Fraisthorpe, when the rest of us are wearing fleeces.
If anyone is willing to enlighten me, I'm interested.
After reading these posts i wonder if anyone knows of any small naturist camp/caravan sites in the midlands and shropshire ?
Regards

I'm dying to ask if you mean small naturists, or small campsites, Barny, but I'm sure someone will think I am poking fun at your hobby, rather than at your post!
Hi Liddenham the next time the weather is favourable why dont you just give it a try, after the initial feeling of embarrasment you will know why we naturists go on about it so much, it is just something that cant be really put into words.
