Has anyone been to Knaresborough Caravan Club Site? We are going on the 1st Sept. I was wondering if it is near to anywhere like villages towns and pubs.

Not stayed there but visited. Imaculately kept with good facilities. As I recall, near pubs etc and not far from Knaresborough itself. See the reviews etc.:
Like Jon we have had a look at the site and it looks good. It isn't walking distance to Knaresborough, which is a shame as I imagine at weekends it may be a pain to park. BUT I don't actually no that - having said that the area is brilliant. Enjoy
Only been once, last year, but enjoyed our stay. Bus service to Harrogate and Knaresborough outside the site, except Sundays. We actually walked to Knaresborough, (2.1/2 miles) along a wide roadside footpath but I was told there was a local bridleway/walk to town. Incidentally it is one of the very few CC sites to include a small licensed cafe/restaurant.

Thank you for all your replies. We are looking forward to going there. We booked there as it is only 30mins away from Thirsk and there is a meeting on that weekend.
if you are heading into thirsk, there is a site on the racesourse right in the town i think that it is a cc site but always clean and tidy, just have to check out when race days are
Hi Don, thanks for that info on the site - the bus service will be handy and it would be fine to walk down to on a Sunday, defo put it on my list for next years camping. Shows how this site really helps.

We stayed at Knaresborough a couple of months back, and have been several times before. It is a lovely well-kept site and there is a very nice pup just down the road in the village that serves nice meals. Unfortunately the pup on site wasn't open as they didn't have a licence, but was doing meals on Saturday eve and Sunday Lunch but you had to take your own drink.
Parking in Knaresborough is easiest in the car park opposite Mother shiptons caves, but is a bit of a hike up the hill.
