Craig, is it the one with a garden centre and a river going through it? Seoint nurseries, Pontrug?
If so we went there at about this time last year and agree with reviews tht it is a lovely site. Unfortunately when we arrived the owners looked quite distressed saying that the site had flooded and they had been trying to contact us to say not to come but had lost our number! We had driven all the way from Norfolk and couldn't face the drive back so we decided to give it a go anyway. The far end of the site was roped off as it had flooded quite severely and it was too dangerous as the river had gone from a gentle stream to a raging torrent!. A few tents we still on site and we had a choice of a dryish site next to playground or one right next to the river. We actually chose the river pitch as it was higher up and owners assured us if river burst its banks it would flow round us! It was horribly muddy on the site and rained like you wouldnt believe all week but we still had a great time. Ok, everything had mud on it by the end but it is such a beautiful site that it didnt seem to matter. The owners made everyone park on the hardstanding away from tents which meant a mad dash for spaces at the end of the day and some people still insisted on driving across mud up to tents justs making things worse.
The coffee shop at the garden centre was a haven when it was too wet to cook, with lovely food and hot drinks! The only thing that really spoiled it was a few days before we came home a trailer tent wedged itself dangerously close to us and the tent next door, actually running over next doors tent pegs! There's always one!
Hope you have a great time, bet it's even nicer when the sun shines!
