There isn’t a site in Muirhouse which is a large housing estate in North West Edinburgh. I think you must mean the Caravan Club site at Silverknowes which is ‘next door’. There are a few sites around Edinburgh but if you’re planning to visit soon you should book a.s.a.p. since we’re now into the festival and most sites will be filling up.
The Drum Mohr site is just east of Musselburgh, their web site is at http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4019
The Mortonhall site is on the southern edge of the city 5 minutes from the bypass. There is a regular bus service into the city so you can leave your car on site. Their website is at http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2992
Over in West Lothian is Linwater Caravan Park http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1631. You’ll need your car here since the site is not on any bus route.
