Hi all...

I'm going camping for 2 nights in 3 hours time...and the campsite we had our hearts set on (wicks farm, in West Wittering) is fully booked! They don't take bookings for less than 4 nights, and I had thought they'd have enough space midweek, but I just phoned and they don't!

So, I'm looking for somewhere fairly peaceful - no clubhouse/bar - but with good facilities, ideally not too far from a beach. I'm near Southampton and don't want to travel for more than an hour - can anyone suggest anywhere??

Thanks! Tiff.

Sorry can't help as I don't know that neck of the woods. Just wanted to make an observation really- There are so many threads on here now where people have been unable to get in to sites without prebooking, Bank holiday is a prime example ( our guest house has been fully booked since May!) Looks like gone are the days of just turning up especially in August.

Thanks Karee! I am glad to hear you had a good time at Scotts farm...the reviews on here aren't great (not bad though!). I had been put off by the size of it, I fancied something a bit cosier! I am now looking forward to my trip this afternoon!

Thanks again...Tiff.
