We are hoping to go somewhere in the peak district in the next couple of weeks. We are looking maybe around the Bakewell area or Edale. Can anyone recommend anywhere? It must be dog friendly and kid's too -perhaps with a play area?

I love the Peak District, we are going there this Sunday, but the site I am going to is basic, just a shower and toilet for each sex, but its behind a pub, in a village remote from any towns.  Click on campsite search at the top of the page and search for sites in Derbyshire and hopefully you will find a site suitable.

Coopers farm at Edale is quite nice - dog friendly and kid friendly but no play area.

When we were there, we started a couple of games of touch rugby and frisbee which all the other kids joined in with. There's also plenty of space for them to run around. The pub across the road allows kids in all evening and the one further down in the village past the train station has a play area outside. We were sat out there at 10pm one night in May.

hi,

we stayed at the Grouse and Claret, nr bakewell last weekend, we really liked it, the location is fab...but it was horrendously busy on the tent field...Greenhills up the road looked great too.
