I am looking for a site within 3 hours drive of Manchester which has a play area and is near a beach. I don't want to go to Wales as we will have already been. I don't mind if it does not have a club but I would like to visit the local places of interest but they have to be interesting to an 8 and 10 year old. We have a tent!!
I have looked at the reviews but I am no closer to finding one now then I was 2 hours ago!!!
Many thanks,
Daisy xx
------------- Why does it always rain when I'm taking the tent down???
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

hi daisydaisy which bit of wales have you been to cos there are a lot of sites all along the coast and there are lots of interesting places to go if you go to anglsey you can get all around the island fairly quickly taking in the sea zoo ,pili palas ,home farm, the model village and birdworld a long the road we've been going to that area for over ten years and still find things to go and look at,or along the lleyn peninsula the slate mines in snowdonia are pretty amazing so is sygun copper mine nr to beddgelert or go across the east coast to mablethorpe etc try not to go to blackpool cos you don't swim in the sea you just go thru the motions
I'm always looking for inspiration...I had a post here the other day asking for just that!!! we've booked to go to Chipping Norton (Cptswolds) next weekend and for Bank Holiday weekend we're going to Culzean Castle on the southwest scottish coast...oh that;s another coast!!!
