We have just come back camping with the kids in Wales and loved it.we have now decided we would like to go it alone (minus the kids) for 3 or 4 days preferably to the devon area but dont have a clue where to go,we want somewhere that is near a beach and has some night life or a bar (not haven holidays or anything like that..thanks)we want a bit of excitement  in the evenings but with some nice walks on the beach or forest in the day,Anyone have any ideas...we"re running out of time..the kids are away to Scotland in a week and we need to book up ASAP

I would recommend Peppermint park in Dawlish Warren, not far from Exeter.

It has a swimming pool, bar & club with the usual entertainments. The actual resot of Dawlish warren is walking distance with the beach and a great pub with great food. The beach also has a nature reserve behind it and is great for wandering through etc.

We normally go to the pub for dinner and then when they kick us out at closing time wander back to the club on site for a night cap!!! Yes we go there alot!!
