As we have a thread going with sites accepting large tents, just wondered if we could get one going for sites with unmarked pitches, ie take your pick!
I don't know any, but would be very interested in anyone did. (I know Skatty may well come in at this point )
Thanks

Cayton Village Caravan Park near Scarborough don't have marked pitches on some of the main site from what I could tell (or if they do, they take big tents) but there's a huge camping field at the back of the camp. Pick your spot !

Same here, we haven't stayed there but popped in for a nosey when passing. They were packed really tight. Didn't notice if they were marked out.

Was there for BH. Yes agree some of the pitches are bit close (especially the caravan ones). For a few days we had our tent 2 x Diablo 6, Litchfield Arapaho 6, 2 x Nevada 5 + Pro-Action 9 berth tent all pitched in a little cul-de-sac. Each tent had enough space for car + the usual coral created by wind-breaks.
The camping field is separate from the dog-walking field.

That big field at back is also used for rallies and as an overspill field if the main site is full I think.. Ahh yes Cayton village was the first campsite me and the girlfriend ,now wife stayed at back in the late 80,s havnt been back there since 96 but I bet its still nice
most of the pitches we have had had minimal if any markings ,I am always unsure of what the boundarys are unless on a c&c club site.

Scotts Farm in West Whittering has unmarked pitches in the tent field. Mad but fun.
