Hello,
We managed to camp through from last November, managing at least one weekend away each month.
We have a van conversion and tend to look for sites with hard standing and hookups.
We use a small fan heater for warmth, and find that there can be a few drafts from dashboard air vents (try and remember to close them) we also get small draft from side sliding door.
You may need to consider using propane (orange) rather than butane (blue) gas.
If your water tanks are external, be a bit wary of night temps below freezing point as they could potentially crack.
Caravan Club have some sites open all year, some close after new year, but they can get quite busy, we stayed at Moreton in March in March of this year and it was pretty full. Had a great time though and good weather.
On the whole we have really enjoyed camping through the winter as every where is much quieter, and it was a bit of a shock when we went in August and every where was busy, couldn't wait for september . The only down sides are the fact it goes dark so early so walks have to be carefully planned and most national trust properties (if thats your thing) close at the end of October.
Otherwise have a great time.
