Hi i am john from macclesfield , i am 35yrs, I love camping in the sun or in the rain,well a little anyway,and in the snow,its better than the rain ,warmer!. I am looking for a camp site in uk where u can have a camp fire old style camping u cant beat having a fire when camping its good,feels more like camping,instead of cooped up in lines on a field..lol so can one tell me where u can have open small fire while camping... thanks john

hello and welcome john

There is a page on this site somewhere about campsites that allow fires, I only joined about a month ago and its really handy for advice on here ,trouble is cant turn the bloody thing off!! I tend to use the barbie for as a sort of campfire !

Hi John,

 I am not sure myself as i like real campfires, but i think its a fire hazard now and that the majority of campsites or land owners wont allow them,  even BBQ's are restricted on some campsites. Well good luck and let me know if you find one......................Happy camping.

hi john. your best bet would be to try the campsite search and maybe call individual sites.atleast you would know first hand

I agree a camp fire is great in the evenings

Hi john I know Shell Island in Wales allows camp fires as long as there in a fire bucket. But we found it just fine when we have been the shop even sells logs and kindlings
