I currently have my caravan on a seasonal pitch in north Wales, which ends in Oct. I’m looking for somewhere to put the caravan between Oct – Mar. 2 -3 hours drive from Manchester.

Any ideas?

Do winter seasonal pitches exist?

Any help would be great.

Hi Adamm

As Cas54 says yes they exist but i must admit they are few and far between, the caravan club do some and 1 of the forestry commission sites does some but they seem to get booked up very quickly.  We have been searching for the same but have now decided to bring our van back home and just go when we can to different sites during the winter.

Best of luck

p.s. Welcome to UKCS

Hi, Brighouse Bay at Borgue in Scotland is open all year.  From November till March is costs about £200 and you only pay for the electricity when you use it.  Good deal!!

Hello,

This is Sue from Rose Farm Touring Park. We have winter seasonal pitches. They are all-weather pitches with a hook up of 16 amps. they are handy for our newest toilet block which has free showers, vanity cubicles and a heated floor. It is always warm and cosy. We are four and a half miles from Great Yarmouth, where there is plenty going on all year round. We have very mild weather here, it has only snowed a couple of times in the five years we have been here! Norwich is only half an hour away, with it's culture and a brand new mega shopping centre. Two minutes walk away is the local pub and just past that is a Tesco Express. The winter season goes from 1 November to 1 March. Please give me a call to confirm rates for the seasonal prices or we would be glad to see you for a short break at any time.(We still have availability for Christmas and New Year, the local does festive meals!) Happy to hear from you.......Sue Myhra
