as locals we can say that there are not too many camp site's around Brixham, most seem to be around Dawlish / Dawlish Warren, some in Paignton and 1 in Torquay. I know that some of the sites at Dawlish Warren are within walking distance to the beach, be carefull some are up hill on the way back. The only site that i have seen (not stayed on was Ladys Mile, personally i thought that all the pitches were too close with the roads on the site running between the pitches).
If you are not on too much of a budget i would suggest Woodland Leisure Park, the touring park we found to be very good, toilets, showers, family bathrooms were all clean and modern, whilst staying at the site you have free use of the Leisure Park, even in poor weather its very good as they have a huge indoor play area, this place really is very good with children of all ages. The downside to this site is that there is no play area on the site only a games / t/v room and no pub/club. However, when the Leisure Park closes you still have access to all the outdoor equipment. Slides, climbing frames etc.
