Skelwith fold near Ambleside, it's in the cc search. It's a nice site, it dosen't have a club or anything like that but it is amongst the forest and has a play area for the kiddies. There is lots of wildlife, we were woken in the morning by the sound of a baby deer, what a lovely sight it was as we looked out of our window and saw it in the mist just as it was getting light. There are ducks that visit at breakfast time too and soon get to know which caravan is the one that will feed them and the rabbits seem to be used to all the humans. We went on our own but I wish we had known about the place when our children were little.

Parkfoot? Very noisey/rowdy/exspensive and the police are called to often. I would defo. not go there even if it was free of charge, more so with young kids unless you want them learning all sorts of words they should not hear. There are lots of sites in the Lake District much more suitable do some searching.

I agree about Park Foot.

I like the C & C C sites at Kendal & Keswick.

Haven't been to any others up that way.
