We have stayed at the Caravan Club site at New England Bay several times in June.

It is the most southerly part of Scotland on the west coast. No midges at all. Beautiful relaxing hoilday, plenty to do and see.

20,000 acres of sky on TV was filmed only a few miles away at Port Logan.

We have found weather seems more settled on that bit of coast as well.

Wherever you go I hope you really enjoy it

Cheers

June is generally the best month to visit Scotland but any month can be good, just as any month can be bad.

The main point is that the weather is changeable and it is rarely bad for long.

We have been sunburnt in the garden at the end of March and the same year, it snowed here on the first of June!!!

So??? For an Easter Break can I suggest, Wellies, Sou'wester, Oilskins and Suntan Lotion. That should just about cover it <G>.

Hi there

God it's ages since I posted a message on here.

We went to Brighouse Bay in Dumfries at Whit and it is brilliant, we are planning on returning there next year in August for 2 weeks we enjoyed it that much.

Michelle

It really all depends on where you go in Scotland.  The east coast is drier than the west, after all , Fort William is one of the wettest places in Britain.

At Easter you may well see snow on the mountains, but most likely it will be quite high up.  Take the railway up Cairngorm on a clear day for a good view.  Drive up Deeside and over to Glenshee or the Lecht.  Both will give you good views. Try the Fettercairn to Banchory or Cockbridge to Tomintoul roads.  For mountains and sea head west, maybe even out to Skye.

It's all beautiful.
