The heated shower room floors are good at Abbey Wood. Never ever thought I would say that as I always thought them unecessary but after a really cold night last November I say they are ok in the Winter. Mind you the Warden had his shorts on driving the tractor round lol must be a tough lot these wardens.
The site is great for trips into London are looking at a few days away in December there myself.
Not expensive really try finding accommodation as good as your own van in London for the same price. Think we paid about £14 a night.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Hi Jade, have you looked at the site at Denham north London, its about 15 miles (30mins)from town and just inside the M25 off the A40 Whyatts covertt ?I think its a C/C site
Could not fault Abbey Wood for cleanliness, security, pithes, facilities and very easy access to central London, Trains a five minute walk away run every ten mins. Cost £7 return fare for two adults. We stayed in August and found it to be an excellent site.
I will be staying in a tent hope its not too cold, never camped in December before, thought it would be a bit of fun to try something a bit different especially for new years eve

To be honest, you haven't a cat in hells chance of getting a pitch at any of the London caravan sites for New years eve. Both the caravan club and camping and caravan sites have been booked up for months. We have been phoning all the time for a cancellation. There were pitches at Wyatts Corner caravan club site but I don't think they take tents.
