Does anyone know of a good, cheap campsite near Windsor??

We want to take the kids to Legoland next year and to keep costs down thought we'd take the tent instead of a B & B.

Any help would be great.

Just come back last night from Chertsey and its a lovely site. There is a field for tents right on the banks of the Thames plus a play field and a play area. Its is very handy for getting into London from the station at Weybridge to Waterloo.Windor, legoland, Hampton Court , Thorpe Park and lots of other things are all handy. We have just had a lovely few days although the planes from Heathrow got to us at first they seemed to be less frequent later in the stay. there is a constant hum from the M3 but you soom get used to that.

The site is lovely the wardens very friendly and the facilities briliant.

Our only disapointment was the fact hampton Court was closed for the EU summit. There was no notification of the closure on the website, the brown tourist signs and we even paid our car park fee at the palace before being confronted with a closed notice on the main gate!! I was furious we traveled 250 miles mainly to go to Hampton Court as our daughter is doing tudor History for A level. Thar and the 7 hour journey home was a real pain. We were stuck in the M1 car park!( thats all that bloody road is!!) for 3 hours and a 4 hour journey took 7!!

London is great once in a while but was i glad to get home to the peace and quiet of East Yorkshire and some normality.
