Hi

Well Mike is off so we have decided to try the caravan out at the weekend,not going to far with it been first time thinking of york or maybe Cumbria we are only going for the night sat-sun so hopefully weather will be ok........getting all excited now we cant wait.........anybody got any advice on sites in them locations

we're off to abbeyfarm caravan park in ormskirk as we too dont want to go to far.

Hi,

It was our first outing in our new caravan last weekend and we went to Boroughbridge (about 80 miles from  Preston) and we really liked the site.

The owners were more than helpful, and we had a choice of York, Harrogate or Leeds on the Saturday.

We went to York and the atmosphere was great.

A great site- would recommend it.

Isn't it great that we are now into Mid November and alot of Folk are still out and about in their caravans, our Neighbour told me Tonight that her Daughter just got a caravan and phoned three sites last Week to go away for a couple of Nights and they were all full  I know one of them was at Woodhall Spa.

Hello Psyklon nice to see a fellow Widnesian on UKCS. Hope your first trip is  successful. I have had a look at Abbey Farm and was pleasantly suprised as I didnt even know there was a site in Ormskirk. It looks really nice and must mention it to my husband as he knows that area very well. Thanks Sue, we didnt want to go too far on "the maiden voyage" and this site looks quite nice. Never know, might see you there one time! We'll keep site posted with how we get on.

 Hi Psyklon, we have been to Abbey farm many times and you will enjoy it, lovely clean site toilets and showers are spotless. Be careful as you turn into site as it is on a bend apart from that it is a lovely drive up.

 Have a great week-end. Take plenty of warm clothes as weather forecast is for COLD weather.

Have a great time-you will be snug as a bug in the new van! We are taking ours away first weekend in december and I want it to snow! Its so cosy and romantic in the van when its cold and frosty outside!
