From here we plan to explore John O Groats and the coast road all the way across to Ullapool!

We then leave Inverness on the morning of New years Eve, arriving in Edinburgh and staying here   http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4019   to celebrate the new year in Edinburgh

We spend a few days exploring Edinburgh and Leave on the 5th Jan, possibly Staying a Night somewhere near Gretna!

I have aready been luckily enough to see some of the magnificent places In Scotland, I cant wait to show them to the Mrs who has never been!! Its took ages to plan this trip, so I hope its worth it!!

Wish me luck, and any opinions of places to see on our trip please let me know!!

Thanks to everyone for helping with site suggestions!

We are going to "asses" the site, as we need somewhere in Summer we can take the speed boat to!  It looks great from the site, and I am hoping it will be ideal to leave the boat there in summer!

WIll let you know how we get on!

Hi peewee

Thurston don't allow dogs in their statics. Tourers are allowed pets. We took our two dogs with us when we visited last year. It is a great site with loads of things to do and see. Great beaches for the dogs to run about on and some good walks.

We hope you enjoy your holiday wherever you choose to go. But do visit Scotland in the summer , especially the Loch Lomond area and over to the west coast (Oban) there are many great sites there. Good Luck
