This is a bit sad, but OH wants to visit where they film Emmerdale. Have looked on the campsites but to be honest I'm not really sure where I should be looking for!
Any suggestions gratefully received.

most of the village used for Emerdale used to be filmed in a village called Esholt near Bradford, the pub/ shop is there, they now film on a purpose built set that i dont think the public have access too, went to Esholt a few years ago and watched them film, then visited Harry Ramsdens Fish & Chip shop that is close by, very yummy.
went to wedding in leeds a few years ago on the way home the following we called in at esholt they where still cashing in on emmerdale pub post office church cafe ect think there was some sort of farm there but you had to pay to get in.it was a few years ago and might have changed now ,nice little village though
------------- bryanA friend is one who knows all about you, and still likes you
Yep Emmerdale is filmed within the grounds of Harewood House, the public do not have access although there is a public footpath that runs quite close. Lots of location filming takes place in Harrogate and Otley is Hotten. It did used to be filmed in Esholt which is a very pretty village and the original farm was at Lindley north of Otley. There's a very nice campsite called Maustin park very near Harewood !

We did the very same in 1988/89 ........ never saw any filming, but drove passed the Woolpack (had another name if I remember right) but ended the day at Harry Ramedens - was first timer's as they had not moved south at that time
Remember seeing some old railway carriage's, think they were used as a resturant (sp)
useless trivia - pub in Esholt was originally called The Commercial, changed it's name to The Woolpack coz of Emmerdale, closed and for sale in late 2005 and is on market for £600,000
