Newquay sounds like just what you are looking for, I can't recommend any sites as i've never stayed on any, but the if you are looing for a lively place with plenty of nightlife etc then there is no better place in Cornwall. - (Plenty of nice pubs to grab a pint or two too!)

All the best,

Grub.

hi if you want to go to Cornwall go here its a lovely site free showers the facilities are great and clean the entertainment is all free the swimming pool is free and they have kids club everyday they look after the children and the adult entertainment is great you won't be disappointed we have put our caravan down there for the year at a cost £960 and its value for money they also let pitches with electric hook-up we have children and they love it there and you won't find cheaper that this in Newque you have to pay for everything on other sites in conwall .and its about 2 miles from the heart of newque 35 miles to Saint Ives 12 miles from padtow and 12 miles from Perranporth

Try Hendra a couple of miles from Newquay- been for the last two years indoor pool club pub takaway etc.  Good bus service to Newquay if you want the nightlife.  I would however strongly recommend paying for a super pitch as the standard pitches are too close together.

Do not travel either to or from Cornwall on a saturday due to the traffic as it tends to be changover day.  The beauty of a tourer is that you are not stuck with set days we travel on a Sunday usually with little delay.

Newquay is fantastic for its beaches I don't care much for the nightlife with two young children.  Stay a fortnight and you can go to a different beach every day and make sure you go to Lusty Glaze Beach its the best we have found.

Any specific questions please ask.

hi nice site but with the touring caravan you have to walk to far get to everything and I  found it quite on the expensive side  I still think summer lodge is better value for money  and they have just as much to offer and fun  I don't like the haven site in Cornwall but every one have there opinion been there and won't go again .and Hendra is ok but it will cost you an arm and a leg you have to pay for the swimming and you only get and hour and half and that alone   costs a lot when  the kids are quite demanding and you have to pay for the club passes i think any one desidiing to go to cornwall

Hi there,

My family and i visited Newquay last year, first time caravanners, we didn't know where to go either! Here is what I think of the sites i've seen and been to.

Hendra, was ok but really noisy as it invites the general public to use their indoor swimming pool complex.

We popped into perran sands haven resort and thought it looked horrific! It reminded me of blackpool pleasure beach... tired and a bit scruffy looking. The touring pitches were really close together as well... pluss quite hilly, especially from the touring pitches to the entertainment.

We ended up staying at 'Monkey Tree' caravan park. It was lovely. Really clean, quiet buit right in the middle of Newquay and Perranporth. It is 4 miles from newquay and 4 miles to perranporth so nice and close to loads of beaches! It has a large pool, clean clubhouse, restaurant, shop, kids club, adventure playground and all the staff are really friendly. I would recommend it.

Happy holiday! We are thinking of visiting Devon, Wales or Scotland but don't know where to start looking for sites! Just want somewhere with a pool, bar and lots to do!
