Hi there,
My family and i visited Newquay last year, first time caravanners, we didn't know where to go either! Here is what I think of the sites i've seen and been to.
Hendra, was ok but really noisy as it invites the general public to use their indoor swimming pool complex.
We popped into perran sands haven resort and thought it looked horrific! It reminded me of blackpool pleasure beach... tired and a bit scruffy looking. The touring pitches were really close together as well... pluss quite hilly, especially from the touring pitches to the entertainment.
We ended up staying at 'Monkey Tree' caravan park. It was lovely. Really clean, quiet buit right in the middle of Newquay and Perranporth. It is 4 miles from newquay and 4 miles to perranporth so nice and close to loads of beaches! It has a large pool, clean clubhouse, restaurant, shop, kids club, adventure playground and all the staff are really friendly. I would recommend it.
Happy holiday! We are thinking of visiting Devon, Wales or Scotland but don't know where to start looking for sites! Just want somewhere with a pool, bar and lots to do!
