Limefitt park is nice,been a few years since I was there though. You  get a nic view of windermere and the valley the site is in if you walk up the steep track behind the pub  far enough

The c&c club at windemere is nice as well,got a little bar and a park as well

Keswick in the north lakes is really good, usually stay on the camping and caravaning site right next to the lake, its only a few miniutes walk into keswick, with all its pubs, resturants, cinema, shops, pitch and put, crazy golf, rowing boats, crown bowls that the kids can have a go at near the swimmingpool, also they have a launch on the lake that you can use like a bus, getting off and walking then getting on at a different stop, the puzzle museum, pencil museum, car museum and thats just in keswick.

There also lots of other things near by to do, we usually go every year its our favorite site.

You dont have to be a member of the C&CC to stay but its cheaper if you are, also it do's get booked up quickley so you would have to book soon, theres also castlerigg farm and castlerigg hall campsites near as well.

Im also thinking of camping in the Lakes this Easter. However we are hoping to bring our Dinghy so would need a lakeside campsite (any lake) and one with a slipway, any recommendations please?

Park Coppice is right on the lake at Coniston and is ideal if you have a dinghy. Have been to Coniston Old Hall which is next to P.C but to me this is more like a refugee camp. P.c will probably cost you a bit more but is very peaceful and a lovely site

Thats just what I was about to suggest.Parkfoot at Pooley Bridge has a park and is only a very short walk from Ullswater and a reasonale walk into town.It has a good shop and a bar.The site itself is spacious so plenty room for the little ones to adventure while you keep an eye.Limefit is a nice site but not within walking distance of a town.

Anywhere in the Lakes is great! HAVE FUN............

We are thinking of going to the Lakes at Easter.  Have any of you stayed at Woodclose Caravan Park?
