Hello,

We are travelling up to Scotland to visit some relatives and thought we'd try and 'camp' our way back down south after in our tent.

Can anyone suggest a good site up by Loch Lomond that it fairly cheap and will allow a stay of 2 nights?

Also we wouldn't mind a stop in the Lake district, and again would like a nice site for a couple of nights.

Our wish list is electric hook-up, nice showers toilets, and again the 2 nights/price. Also bearing in mind a 6yr old, somewhere suitable for kids too.

I hope you can help! I'd rather be recommended somwhere as they all look nice on their websites!

Hi

Not near Loch Lomond, but Brighouse Bay in Dumfries is a fantastic site.

Also, Limefitt in the Lakes and Holgates which I believe is near to Carnforth.

holgates VERYgood but be be prepared to take ''a bank loan'' to pay for same,used to take my grandkids there,ideal for them but RATHER expensive

Use the camp site search facility and enter loch lomond there are quite a few round that area that are very good.
