We have FINALLY taken possession of our new Bailey Louisiana, and want to go away this weekend - we are in East Sussex - I've looked on the Caravan club site, and Sheepcote valley at Brighton seems to be full.  Does anyone have any suggestions - I'm desperate to get away - we've been vanless since August!  Thanks,  Kate

Hi,
Congrats on getting the new van, sure you will absolutely love it.
Have you tried reading the reviews on Open All Year sites in the area?

Hi Ann,  It's our dream van - can't wait - lovely double bed, full size fridge/freezer!  Nice reading lamp by the bed so I can read books all weekend!  That is, if we find a campsite!  Kate

Thanks Caroline!  We stayed at Knaresborough campsite last August - and visited York - my 12 year old son loved the Jorvik smells!  Kate

I find the Caravan club site very strange - when you search on availability for the Sheepcote site it says no pitches, yet i decided to try the Fast Track system - and it has given me a confirmed booking.  This makes me slightly worried (but also relieved that at least we have somewhere to go to) that we might turn up and be told there is no room.  Has anyone had this happen to them?

When we turned up at Strid Wood CC in November after booking on the web site , the warden said I hope you're on my list as we don't always get the bookings through!

Fortunately we were Ok but she did say they had had  problems with overbooking.

May be worth a phonecall to the site to check.

Just incase there's a problem with your Sheepcote booking, this site is showing availability for the weekend

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=5794

I've never used it so can't comment on it's facilities and as it's a CC CL you'll need to be a member.

Also this site http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4920

again I've not used it so don't know if its any good.

Hope you have a nice weekend.

Jules
