Hi All, We went to Cornwall last summer and spent a couple of lazy days down on Holywell Bay. We had a walk around Trevornick to see what it was like - we ended up booking our 2wk holiday for this year!! We are 3 families that go together. Two of us always pitch next to each other, that way we can spread out a bit and my friends' brother has a dog so they are pitched just over the hedge in the dog field. I'm really looking forward to it. We are down there the first 2 wks in August and I've already started saving my 20p's for the showers!!! (kids + sand = lots of 20p's)

We look forward to bumping into you all on the site, maybe share a cold one and have a chinwag over the barbie!!

Happy Campers!!!

We stayed there last summer and are booked again this year.  Love the site but found the pitch quite tight for a trailer tent and car without any pup tent etc.  Asked about parking the car off pitch - advised only additional cars which are booked in and paid for can be parked by reception.  Does anyone know if you can park anywhere else if we're tight for space - ie holding field?

even though you you find some pitches tight check out the map on the web site some pitches bigger than others, so have a look we have a big pitch, car,17'caravavan,2 cars and plenty of space

So it is best to shop around , you also find that people don't always park there cars on the pitch properley and park half on and half off on the road or   pathway, as long as there is enough room for a car and caravan to pass they don't really mind, you could leave your car in the holding field, but its through the outer side of the fun park and a bit dark and creepy at night, they do allow up to two cars per pitch , i have our car and then my son comes down with his car and i pay extra person and car no problem, if you are not happy with pitch you have after looking at the different pitch sizes see if 'you can change

I hope ours is going to be big enough!! When I phoned to book, there wasn't a lot of choice left, they had all been taken, that was a month ago.  Ours is 32' by 32', and we have a diablo 900, car and hopefully a utility tent.  Hope we get on with neighbours, could be quite cozy by the sound of it, if the sites aren't very big

We stayed on Red field a couple of years ago, and when i booked over the phone, I was told that the pitch allocated would be plenty big enough for our twin axle which is 23.5ft to the towhitch, as the pitch was 30ftx30ft. On arrival, we had to manouvre the caravan onto the pitch, avoiding knocking down the tent opposite, or ramming the neighbours car! to top it off, we had to tie a bright rag to the towhitch so people didnt walk into it in the dark as it overhung the road!! IF, i ever go again, I will most definately be booking a superduper pitch

We travelled down on the Friday night, and parked up in the early/late arrivals field, and at 8.30am, a very nice man knocked on the door to tell us that we were welcome to go on and book in, and have a shower etc.

On the whole, it was a fantastic holiday

A group of us are also down there for just over a week from the 12 Aug in the Pond area.

We will be the tired looking ones after a 473 mile journey from Northumberland, with a brief stop over in Worcershire to recover.
