Well, we've had our NuVenture for just over a week now and we're desperate to have a trial run! We used to have a caravan but haven't toured for years and now we're trying to think of somewhere, our minds have gone blank!

We never bothered with electric in the past but seeing as it's winter we want to go somewhere with electric hookup so we can take a small fan heater plus we don't want to travel further than 100 miles from Wigan.

Does anyone have any ideas of where we can go, everywhere we can think of is shut for winter.

Pleeeeeeease help!

Stacksteads Farm near Ingleton is open at this time of year, and the waterdfall walk is worth doing. Come of the M6 at Lancaster and turn right.

We stayed in November '04 and it was great, although toilet block was a little cold.

Just had another thought, Lickpenny in Derbyshire is open all year and usually has vacancies. We've stayed twice in the last couple of months. Really nice warm toilets as well !

Matlock Bath and Cromford areas are near bye and worth visiting.

Try these for a few

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4082

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=4762

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4553

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3151

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2285

Other option is do a general search on here and ask for sites in Lancashire a few may be more than u want to travel but at least u shall have a few more for when u wish to venture further a field.

Holgates in Silverdale, has pool, bar etc, but if that's not you, you can avoid it.  There are nice walks from the site up arnside knot.
