Evenin' all, We are hoping to go to the Cotswolds in June and cant make up our minds about which site would suit us best? Sound familiar? we are in our early 60's and want something fairly quiet, handy for shops, not too many kids (sorry!!!) and somewhere I can spend tha afternoon while OH has a snooze! Also, any FLY FISHING nearby would be a bonus! Thank you

Been to both sites. As has been said depending on where you are pitched at Moreton there can be some road noise. Broadway is set back a bit more from the road however it is a longer way into the village. I have some pictures on my website.

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but we love Cirencester just down the road. Not sure about fly fishing but there is fishing in the local park and some beautiful walks. Short walk into town via Cirencester Park. Could be my Geordie industrial roots but we love the CC site there. Where ever you go we hope you enjoy it.
Thanks DonM for your advice. We were in Tewkes bury 4 years ago with our 'Calipso' motor home and he fancied Moreton-in-Marsh, so it slooks like we are going there! we shall certainly be checking out Cirencester on our travels. we are back to a caravan. After 34 years with a van, we couldnt get used to the motorhome, unfortunately. We shall look for 'Ben' in Cirencester! Thanks again. Colin & Ethel Oliver
hello we havent stayed on either of these site but we did have a look at them both last year.
morton in the marsh to me was noisy and quite large you seem to be on top of one another with not much out look. the town wasnt anthing special.
broadway was very pleasant pretty not too big nice out look it was further in to the town which is more like a village. but if you like walking its not that far. or there is a car park in the town.
we have booked this site for easter and i cant wait.
My parents love Broadway - been several times. They also went to Morton once but the traffic noise was not to their liking, so they returned to Broadway and have been going back ever since!

Hi Claire, thanks for replying to my inquiry. Could you ask your Mum if there are any 'food' shops in Broadway, or a chipshop? Also, does she think we would be happy there for 2 weeks. thanks again Ethel
Broadway and Moreton-in-Marsh are both ok sites but they are at the expensive end of the CC scale. Can't remember seeing a chip shop in Broadway but there were several pubs and restaurants.
Moreton-in-Marsh does have a chip shop though and they smelled delicious.
Are you planning on staying on the site for the whole 2 weeks ? or doing a bit touring round during the day.

Hi Jana, thanks for your reply. We do intend to tour about and see as much of the Cotswolds as we can during our two weeks. We do enjoy the occasional fish supper, but can survive without it! The site itself is most important as we want one where we can relax in the evening and on days when the sun is (hopefully!!!) shining! so somewhere peaceful and quiet is high on the agenda. Thanks for your help. Ethel
Hi,Broadway is a beautiful cotswold village(born there) with a Budgens supermarket just opened but alas no chippy, nearest chippy is in Evesham bout 6 miles away. There is a nice indian resaurant though. The site is good 10mins level walk to bottom of village.
