Young family of 4 want to visit Really nice location in Derbyshire fairly near Chatsworth House as the wife wants to visit it cause of the recent film! Looking for a clean camp site for tent with shower blocks and perhaps a small childrens play area.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi Jaxn - is that Jacksons?

You really are spoilt for choice now - except Chatsworth and Lickpenny don't take tents.

How far are you travelling and how long are you staying?

Loads of nearby sites but if coming a long way then I would see more of the peaks and then drive to Chatsworth for the day.

Haddon, not far from Bakewell, is lovely and you can walk into Lathkill Dale IMHO the most beautiful of the Derbyshire Dales and drive to Chatsworth in half an hour.

Search Bakewell maybe best on UKCS search.

if you stay in the more north of the peaks, Lyme House is well worth a visit, beautiful house and acres of land wild deer roaming etc. It was also the location of the filming of the bbc's pride and predjudice.
