CairnsMill just outside StAndrews (Some pictures of the campsite on my homepage)
We camped here for a couple of nights last july with friends and found it to be very good. there are EHU for tents, we asked for a large pitch and was put up beside the Caravans as it was very busy. We were a stones throw from the Toilets.

There is a small fishing pond, "trout" I think (I don't Fish)There is also a small indoor swiming pool a sauna. the clubhouse is also very nice. they put on entertainment here on the Friday and Saturday evenings with the usuall BINGO before hand.

A small shop on site for the basics and a LARGE Tesco 2 minutes away on the outskirts of StAndrews.

All in all a Very Clean site. and I will return this year for a weekend again.

Kanno,

Thanks for all the info on Cairnsmill- they sent me a leaflet today and I think we'll book! I spoke to them on the phone and they were very helpful - our tent is big and we may need 2 pitches so she explained they'd reserve me two and see what I need!I must admit I like the idea of the bar and shop and the games room and pool will be handy for the boys.We know Fife fairly well as I was born in Cupar and then lived in Dairsie - my follks now live in Ladybank - hubbie is a Geordie and he's looking forward to doing some serious walking - hopefully taking the kids and dogs so I can chill. Are the planes a problem flying in and out of Leuchars - am just thinking of the dogs - they are very delicate - labradors !

I'd also recommend staying away from Shell Bay.
