We found this about Polmanter in Cornwall - we took our 2 dogs as it does state its a dog friendly site and kept them on leads at all times apart from the dog walking area (obviously). The first night we was walking nr the pub on site (just to check out facilities as u do) and the owners dog came running up and started sniffing round our eldest. She doesnt like being sniffed and tried her hardest to get away but obv with her BEING ON THE LEAD she couldnt get away (shes not nasty would rather run than fight) then realised it was the owners dog so we said to him 'shouldnt that dog be on a lead AT ALL TIMES'? of which he states yeh sorry. Then it was like he was tormenting us he let the dog out of the car nr our pitch so it could run, then he followed us to toilet block as i was going to walk em whilst OH was going to loo, he purposely made sure that we knew he was there with his nasty hound. We wont be going again and to be quite frank were glad to get away. We wanted breaky the saturday morn as we were leaving and they have a takeaway which the people obviously didnt want to serve others as they were never there. A bit fat NO to Pollmanter im afraid

We were supposed to go away last Friday evening but oh is an hgv driver and got stuck in Leeds because of the snow. Saturday morning he made it home and the kids were begging us to go away.

The nearest Site that we were wanting to try (close to home) was in Ormskirk but when i rang up to enquire i was told abruptly that "We don't take bookings of less than 2 nights". Just silence then on the other end of the phone.

Come on, do these rude people really want our business?? And do they realise that there are forums like this where they are talked about.

Went to Windy Harbour, nr B'pool. They were very friendly and it was nicer here off peak.

Hello

This is an excellent website!

Thanks to everyone who posts a review about a site

It's helped us out no end when going to caravan sites!

There is no excuse in any walk of life for rudeness - not least somewhere where people go for a holiday!
