We're looking for a campsite to go away for a few days at Easter. I just found Magic Cove, thanks to another thread and thought it sounded ideal. When I looked at the reviews on this site though, I found a review which said:
As one of the last Dog Friendly areas in the country, it's Dog owners heaven, so if you don't, then please go to one of the many areas in the country dogs aren't welcome. Chevys Dad.
Now, I'm not a dog hater, but don't fancy being absolutely surrounded by them, particularly off their leads. Has anyone been? I'm thinking of my daughter more than anything. She loves dogs, but shouts at them and tries to chase them, which may antagonise some. (She's only 11 months so hasn't yet learned not to!)
So, is it really full of dogs, or just an average campsite?

We fancied Magic Cove or Watermouth Cove (see link) last summer http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2721 and for no real reason other than the toss of a coin chose Watermouth Cove.
We spent a week there last June, and really enjoyed it. Its a well laid out site with good facilities and plenty to do in the area.
If you are looking for an alternative you could do worse.
Cheers
Paul
