I know the Parkers, they were good friends of my late father and although I haven't camped there (my Mother's house is in Ashburton) I did rent one of their cottages when attending my fathers' funeral and the family home was rather full of the rest of our family) and it was superb. My Cousin stayed in one of the static caravans one summer and they loved it too.
The site and area is excellent for dogs, ask Rhona Parker for details of how to get to Spitchwick (only about 5 or 6 miles away) and they will love it! Dartmoor is right on the doorstep and again excellent for dogs though few of the South Devon beaches allow dogs in high season.
The field is on a slope but don't worry, all pitches are terraced.
