http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=parkers+farm&by=sitename have emailed this site as like the sound of it (despite the fact that we have no kids lol) and wondered if any one had been with dogs as no body on the review list has stated what its like for dogs. Despite having emailed them they may not be 100% truthful and dont want the dogs not to enjoy their main holiday this yr.

Any info anyone gives on this will be useful

Many thanks in advance

we have been to parkers farm last july, we took our dog and they have a whole field to run the dog, the field is a steep hill but my dog loved it. there are bins to dispose of any dog toliet. we found it an ideal site and had no problems. we will be returning again this year as we loved it there.

I know the Parkers, they were good friends of my late father and although I haven't camped there (my Mother's house is in Ashburton) I did rent one of their cottages when attending my fathers' funeral and the family home was rather full of the rest of our family) and it was superb.  My Cousin stayed in one of the static caravans one summer and they loved it too.

The site and area is excellent for dogs, ask Rhona Parker for details of how to get to Spitchwick (only about 5 or 6 miles away) and they will love it!  Dartmoor is right on the doorstep and again excellent for dogs though few of the South Devon beaches allow dogs in high season.

The field is on a slope but don't worry, all pitches are terraced.

Cheers guys

Have had numerous emails from Julia Parker and she sounds great - wicked sense of humour just like us. We have booked and paid and are stopping the whole week dont think we shall regret it have already told her to get the wine and lager ready lol

Dogs looking forward to it but not any more than us!!!!!! Love animals and having them running around will be great have asked Julia if we can have a piglet for the week and they can have one of the dogs - she didnt reply to that!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant wait for July to come round now - like a big kid really and hopefully it qwill be a place that well love so much that we shall return (just like the old oaks - well this yr may be our last yr at old oaks as its adults only but u never know)!!!!
