Hiya,

Riverside Camping has our vote for the best we've been to with our tent - really helpful people and it is linked to a garden centre with a cafe who serve the most fulfilling breakfast!!! They have a great park for the kids, a lovely dog walk and the river is clean enough to swim in and it has a place dug out for the kids to play in

My best site is Perran Springs, Nr Newquay Cornwall.

Great views, lots of space between pitches, a very high standard shower block, great course fishing lakes and a very friendly atmoshphere.

Another plus point is the great location, close to all parts of Cornwall

Can I have two?

Point Sands
Sit back with cold beer & watch the sunset, if your lucky dolphins will put on a wee show.

The second one is.

Its not a campsite as such, but the landowner lets you fish & wild camp, they even allow campfires AND will give you a wee bit firewood if you don't have any, best take your own though. Seven quid for a 24hr fishing permit, you'll need a big bag they stocked it with 77,000 fish last year!! Just camp anywhere along the unclassed road. Streetmap UK Map Link

The Arrow marks the spot

Pssst Don't tell everybody!

The Old Oaks (Adults only) site in Glastonbury. Brilliant site - so peaceful, facilities absolutely spotless, owners couldn't have been more helpful and close to the wonderful Glastonbury.

I Have got to say Eisteddfa (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=eisteddfa&by=sitename) between Criccieth and Porthmadog in North Wales.

It's a well kept, well run site amongst the most fantastic scenery. The toilets and showers are cleaned at least 3 times a day. Drew and Karen have to be the most freindly and helpful campsite owners we have met so far and the reguarly patrol the site on a quad bike to say hello and check things are OK. See my review (follow the link above).

We just love it there not only is the site fantastic but the whole area is great and there is an excellent tea shop in Criccieth!

Royal Oak at Wetton, Peak District, at the moment, a basic site behind a good pub, lovely scenery, what more could you want?

Favourite may change as the year goes on, coz there's so many good sites and so many lovely areas in the country.

My fave in UK- Wareham Forest Tourist Park - it has a big lovely swimming pool and countryside to walk in all around. I have been to Peppermint Park- very nice to walk to the beach. A lovely atmospheric site was The Inside Park in Blandford Forum, It has a massive adventure playground. As it is in the site of an old stately home it has the best trees I have ever seen.  Best location has to be the site you can see when you walk from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door- you think those VW campers might blow off that cliff, - it was the 1st site we ever went to, and I thought the tent would blow away in the night-I remember the sound of tearing velcro.

Is that the one in the pub car park? The other site wouldnt allow dogs and we were backpacking which was awkward to say the least !
