Does anyone know of a good riverside campsite with the odd pub close by on the river about 2 hours from south wales?

On the post your best sites someone mentions Riverside Camping nr Llanberis, i've just looked at all the reviews and they are all excellent.  We are definantly adding this campsite to our list of must visit!

Yeah we keep going back to riverside its excellent - recommend it !!!

Really friendly and helpful - our dog went in the river and the warden brought us an old towel she keeps a stock of to dry dogs - thats service.  they are really friendly, its clean and the location is great - couldn't ask for better 

Why is it that a swarm of midges seem to shimmer into view ..........  Midges like me a little toooooooooooooo much.. Good luck by the river.......

help   hello i have tried to find this site riverside camping nr llanberis on the campsite search, but i cant seem to find it, am i looking in the right place

Holme Lacey Bridge (01432 840223). A nice clean site not too far from you on the R. Wye. Theres 2 pubs nearby. If you turn left out the gate you have The Moon Inn which does lovely grub & is just by the bridge over the river. The other one (cant remember its name) is if you turn right out the gate & is quite a hike. Best to take a torch & maybe a hi-vis vest for both pubs if your walking as the road is unlit people do drive at a fair old lick along it. The Moon Inns the best out of the 2.

The site itself is very clean & well presented & sits right on the banks of the Wye. Theres a canoe launch if you want it & its South facing so gets very hot in the sun. Well worth a visit. I,ve been there twice on canoeing expeditions & will go again if I,m in that neck of the woods.
